TASK FORCE LEGION
TCG’s Realism Division “Task Force Legion” consists of multiple units from United States Army Special Operations, Naval Special Warfare and the Joint Air Operations Center. The Task Force conducts four main operations a week with varying levels of realism so you can play how you want.
BRAVO COMPANY RANGERS (Saturday & Sunday 2000 EST)
Bravo Company, 2nd BN, 75th Rangers “Ares” is the premier light infantry force for the Task Force. Bravo Company specializes in conducting direct action raids, airfield seizures, personnel recovery, clandestine insertions, and kill/capture HVT operations. Members of Bravo Company utilize various methods of insertion including airborne HAHO/HALOs combat jumps, air assault fast roping, or ground platforms to successfully accomplish mission objectives. The backbone of TFL and its main force, Bravo Company staffs over 80 personnel with various infantry and support billets spread across two platoons.
HEADQUARTERS COMPANY RANGERS (All element days)
HHC, 2nd BN, 75th Rangers “Helios” is the Task Force’s intelligence company. Helios is comprised of intelligence analysts who are responsible for the creation of interesting, enjoyable and strategic missions within the Task Force. Their primary intent is to provide timely and accurate intelligence for the Task Force to act upon. Alongside mission making, Helios takes on the responsibility of creating storylines, managing templates with the eden editor, developing campaigns, and staffing full time zeuses.
AIR FORCE SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND (All element days)
724th Special Tactics Group, Detachment Zulu is comprised of two special tactics squadrons. The 17th STS is home to the units Tactical Air Control Party Specialists(TACP). TACPs are experts in terminal attack control procedures and operate as the ground force commander’s direct line to close air support assets. The 24th STS is comprised of the units Combat Controllers who are experts in the terminal attack phase as well but also perform tactical aircraft control, stack coordination, and act as the liaison between air and TFL's tier one assets. In addition to forward air controllers, the STG is home to 24th STS Pararescue Specialists(PJ) who are responsible for personnel recovery, medical readiness, and MEDEVAC/CASEVAC procedures.
NAVY SPECIAL WARFARE DEVELOPMENT GROUP (Monday 2100 EST)
Naval Special Warfare Development Group, Red Squadron (Seal Team Six), or NSW DEVGRU for short, is the United States Navy's elite warfighting team. Members selected should expect small scale waterborne and land based tier one operations. Those operations include Direct Action Raids on High-Value Targets and Individuals, Intelligence Gathering In Non-Permissive Environments, Asset Denial, Reconnaissance, Hostage Rescue, Maritime Operations, VBSS, and more. DEVGRU also works closely with the elite 160th SOAR, 24th STS, and Ranger Reconnaissance Company to complete any mission tasking.
JOINT SPECIAL OPERATIONS AIR COMPONENT (All element days)
Joint Special Operations Air Component “Warlord” is made up of two special aviation units from two different branches of the military; the US Army and the US Airforce. The 160th SOAR(A) provides rotary-winged aviation support and is recognized for their proficiency in operating in the toughest conditions. The 1st SOG is comprised of several fixed-winged and tilt-rotor aircraft such as the CV-22, AC-130J, or the MQ-9 Reaper. The component as a whole provides unparallel precision of direct support to the Task Force in a special operations theater with conventional air operations such as for mobility, fires, ISR, and the integration of such activities with all elements.
REGIMENTAL RECONNAISSANCE COMPANY (Wednesday 2100 EST)
The 75th Ranger Regiment's Regimental Reconnaissance Company (formerly known as Regimental Reconnaissance Detachment, or RRD) is an elite special operations force that has been a member of the Joint Special Operations Command since 2005. The unit is believed to have become part of JSOC due to its extensive training and unique capabilities to conduct special reconnaissance, close target reconnaissance (CTR) operations, and advanced force operations (AFO). It is often referred to as a Special Mission Unit (SMU). RRC works closely with the Army's elite 160th SOAR, Air Forces 24th STS, and Navy Special Warfare.
